Born in Paris, France to a family of the French nobility with a history traceable back to the early 1400s, Jean-François Cavelier is not the first of his line to follow a dream to America. With direct roots in the famed French explorers of the 17th century, Cavelier eventually found his own way west three centuries later, this time with a dream of exploring the magic of storytelling through film.

Cavelier, known to friends and colleagues as "French Baron," has over three decades of experience in the combination of international Film and TV sales, distribution, and production. His international connections, love and appreciation of film history, ear to the pulse of modern-day Hollywood, and unique eye as a born Frenchman make him a force in the industry, forging his own legacy of impactful stories and films that stand the test of time.

During the summer of 2023, Cavelier realized that Hollywood did not have a superhero from France . So he created THE FRENCH BARON. The first iteration for this new superhero origin story is a graphic novel/comic book written by legendary Chuck Dixon with art from incredible visual artist, Vincent Shade..
